Broadhead Extractor Review

Flinch Outdoor Gear Broadhead Extractor, By: Darryl Woods

Every season we as archers go through the task of tuning our broad heads to our arrows to get the best flight out of our arrows. Sometimes we don’t get the straightest flight out of our very expensive arrows and broad heads. During the tweaking process, arrows often hit the fence or tree next to the target. As archers, we often miss our game or fail to see a branch when shooting at game in the field. The result is our expensive broadhead stuck in a tree, stump, or branch. We always take a moment while scratching our head and wonder, "How am I going to get that broadhead or field point out of there?"

I got my hands on this broad head extractor by chance and I want to let you all know that this is an essential tool every archer needs to have in there toolbox. The broad head extractor is made by Flinch Outdoor Gear. It’s well thought out in the design, lightweight and easily fits in your daypack or archery tool box. You can get the three blade or four blade extractor. The extractor can pull field points, mechanical and fixed blade broad heads out of what ever you have shot them into. The broad head extractor is made out of stainless steel and a lightweight aircraft grade aluminum. The extractor generates over 600 pounds of pulling power. Now that’s what I call pulling power! If you purchase one of the extractor’s you can buy the other body whether it be the 4 blade or 3 blade body. Doing so will allow you to pull virtually any broadhead on the market. The bodies can be easily and quickly changed with a single allen wrench.

Inside the aluminum body there is a stainless steel shaft that’s held by a set screw which holds both parts together. All you do is screw the extractor onto your broad head, aling the blades with the slots and twist the T handle. The tool does all the work for you.

Turn T-handle until tip comes out. Check to make sure the tip is still shoot able, then screw it back into your arrow and shoot away. The Flinch Outdoor Gear broad head extractor also easily extracts field points.

This extractor is so easy to use, even kids can use it. It takes very little effort to opperate.

I give this broad head extractor a 9.99 out of a possible 10 points for its simplicity in design and it ease of usa. The quality and workmanship of this tool is superb and it will last a lifetime. There will be no worries about how to get those expensive tips out anymore. The broad head extractor has a limited lifetime warranty against materials, defects and workmanship.
